With over twenty-five years of teaching experience in the fields of high school instrumental music, Judaic Studies and Hebrew, Beth holds a B.A. in Music Education and Middle East Studies from Portland State University. Prior to making Jewish education and music her primary career, she spent nearly twenty years as a mechanic, purchaser and small business owner in the bicycle industry; and was active in the field of pageantry arts education as an instructor, arranger and adjudicator for marching bands, color guards and independent drum corps.
Beth has released the self-produced CD, City of Love; and performs regularly in coffeehouses and pubs in the Portland-Vancouver area. Her second album of original Jewish folk and roots music, Ten Miles, was release in February 2014.
Beth lives in northeast Portland with her partner and two cats. She commutes to work by bicycle and has not owned a car since 1990.
